I have been waiting several years for a 1080p projector to come into my ideal price range. This one is 3D capable as well.Extremely happy with this projector. Using it in my media room tho where it's nice and dark. Can't comment on higher lighting situations. I have watch sports, blurays, played games, watched tv and I've used the 3d. By the Estar DLP link glasses and it is really, really cool. Especially the animated 3d movies. You won't be disappoint in areas where you can control the light.

LG Electronics PA77U WXGA 3D LED Projector with Smart TV and Built-In Digital TV Tuner

Absolutely love this projector as a do it all device.This LG projector packs in a ton of features into a small package. I cut pay cable out years ago, so I love the digital tuner and the smart tv features where you can stream Amazon, Netflix, Youtube and others. I use the projector in a room with no windows so it is plenty bright. My only complaint is that there is no zoom feature, so the further back you place the projector the larger the image. I mounted my projector from the ceiling so the fine tuning with no zoom was a bit burdensome. I'm overall very impressed with this projector.

Great 3D projector, the sound is also pretty good. Wish the description indicates clearly the additional stuff you have to buy to make it work properly. Once you get what you need it's a great unit.  My expectations going into this purchase was that of a "beginner" purchase. What I waned to see is if a projector would work in my man cave (retrofitted detached garage), and whether a projected image was good enough to watch movies and NFL games.

Optoma HD131Xe 1080p 2500 Lumen Full 3D DLP Home Theater Projector with HDMI (Black)

We installed this in our living room which has ambient lighting from a big window and from the window in the foyer. Out of the box it seemed a little dim and no contrast. Once nighttime hit...WOW. It is amazing enough that my wife ok'd me to use some window film on the windows to darken the room some. I have it sitting on a tv tray at the moment that is about 15' from the screen and this gives me a nice 120" screen. I almost opted for a 135" screen but figured the smaller screen with less zoom would give a little more light output for 3d and daytime viewing. We use it on ECO bulb mode most of the time unless watching 3d in the daytime.

Epson VS230 SVGA 3LCD Projector, 2800 color lumens, 2800 white lumens (V11H552220)

I am using this projector primarily in my classroom for showing slides and video. We also do neighborhood block parties and show movies on the garage wall for the kiddos. It will work perfectly for that, so I am thrilled I didn't bite off a bigger price tag than necessary! Testing it out when it arrived, it made a beautifully crisp and clear image on my wall in a room which was "dim" at best. I'm already pleased with it, and it will be even better with the lights off. I cannot speak to how well this will work for displaying detailed business presentations such as spreadsheets or for those who are wanting HD movies or video games, but I think it's a great product, especially given the low price. I don't feel as if I've "settled" for less at all.
